Well, last week we had a good talk with our new supervisor, and we have accepted the new positions on 2 different teams. (We'll still be living and working out of Cheney, WA, so no changes there!)
Jeanette is now on the 'Events' team, tasked to come up with new events and new ways to do events. She is very gifted at organization and planning, so this is a very good fit for her. And, apparently, she doesn't have to deal with her nemesis (inputting information into the Raiser's Edge database) anymore so she's very happy about that!
I will be working with a different team that is more technically oriented, and we'll be looking at incorporating technology into the events and looking at ways to reach/inspire more people to become involved with Bible translation. I will also still be working with 'professional sourcing', which is helping attract people skilled with information technology, administrative, and other professional skills that can be used as part of the Bible translation team.
We also received approval to proceed with our current commitments of Perspectives (coordinators for Spokane Perspectives 2012) and the Mission Catalyst conference in November of this year. (I am the exhibits coordinator for Mission Catalyst this year.)
